Skylr Smith

Skylr Smith is a rising sophomore at Spelman College in Atlanta, GA. She majors in Political Science with a minor in Economics. Skylr was a Social System Design Lab Fellow last summer and now is a College Mentor. Outside of the program, she is involved in the Spelman Chapter of NAACP, Girls Incorporated of Saint Louis, Future Business Leaders of Spelman, Enactus, and the secretary and co-founding member of her new chartered organization, IGNITE, on her campus. She was also selected to be apart of the Social Justice Advocacy program at Spelman College. Skylr has a passion for educational equity so, she spends her free time volunteering and mentoring at juvenile centers, schools, and more. Skylr aspires to work in the educational field with the hope of one day to become the first, Black female Secretary of Education.
