Janet Velsazquez

Janet Velaszquez is an intern at the Social System Design Lab at the Brown School of Washington University in St. Louis, where she works to expand her knowledge in systems thinking, develop relationships, and plan this year’s summit on gun violence. Janet will be a senior at Ritenour High School and will graduate as a member of the class of 2017. At Ritenour, she had the opportunity to be part of the leaderships class, social justice group, the National Honor Society, and to be a college ambassador. In these activities she sought to change the school by improving the atmosphere and serving others. Janet is very passionate about immigration laws and how they affect the educational future of every child. Janet enjoys hiking, writing, and spending quality time with the people she loves.
