Skylr Smith

Skylr Smith is a graduating senior right out of Francis Howell Central High School. During high school, she was the captain of the Supreme Royalty Step Team, student leader of her school’s Diversity Club and for Gateway 2 Change, Girls Inc. intern, United Way’s Teen Steering Committee board member, and many more. She plans to attend Spelman College to major in Political Science and minor in business in the hopes of becoming apart of Congress one day. Skylr was inspired by this summit to write a bill at her annual Youth in Government convention and her bill was signed into law. She involves herself with not only the summer summit, but year round activities to build friendships, connections, find solutions for her community, and hear the community’s ideas for her future political platform.
