Erin Stringfellow, MSW, PhD

Research Fellow, Massachusetts General Hospital Institute for Technology Assessment

Dr. Stringfellow is a Research Fellow at the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute for Technology Assessment. She earned her PhD in 2019 from the the Brown School after working closely with Dr. Hovmand and the Social System Design Lab since 2013. Her areas of expertise are illicit drug use and the social dynamics affecting recovery, opioid use disorder treatment, and opioid overdose epidemiology. For her dissertation she used grounded theory methodology to inform an individual-level system dynamics model of addiction recovery.
