Research Assistant
Daiszha Cooley (she/her) is an MSW/MPH candidate at the Brown School. She is on the Generalist track for public health and is concentrating in Health for Social Work. Daiszha earned a BS in Neuroscience and a BS in Psychology from Colorado State University in 2018. Before coming to the Brown School and the Social System Design Lab, she worked in public health for 2 years. During that time, Daiszha concurrently held Youth Specialist positions with a local public health agency and a statewide youth movement, which afforded her the opportunity to work in partnership with other youth to create interventions to reduce root causes of substance use through a social justice lens. Daiszha is interested in advancing racial equity and promoting mental health through community-based efforts and youth engagement. She wants to apply a system dynamics lens and CBSD practice to support communities in these efforts.
