Changing Systems is an unique opportunity and experience in which local St. Louis youth are trained in system dynamics tools to tackle issues ranging from racism to youth homelessness.

Since 2015, the Social System Design Lab has selected a group of local high school students as summer fellows, training them in system dynamics tools, group model building, and facilitation for three weeks during the summer. At the end of those three weeks, they then design, lead, and facilitate a four day summit on a complex issue affecting young people in St. Louis.

The goal of this work is to use systems thinking to solicit the youth perspective on issues that affect them in their communities.
